This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been light. The water temp has been in the high 80’s to low 90’s. The water clarity on the East side of the lake is the best I have seen all year and the water clarity on the North end is good. The West end of the lake still has a lot of Red Water but you can catch some fish in it.
The Best Bait in the morning has been the Swim Jig in white or Black/Blue. Fish this bait on the outside edge on the Kissimmee Grass Points. After the morning bite is over, flip the Hydrilla with a (1 oz. ) Strike King Flipping Jig in the color of Brown/Orange with a Berkley Chigger Craw in Watermelon Candy. Good Areas to fish are Kings Bar, Tin House and J&S.
