This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been 5 -10mph mostly from the South East. The water temp has dropped some but is still in the high 80’s. The water clarity on the East side of the lake is still very good. The North is good and the West end of the lake still has red water but you can catch fish in it.
The best bait in the morning this week has been the Swim Jig in White or Black/Blue with a Reaction Innovation Skinny Dipper in the same colors as a trailer. Fish them on the outside of the Kissimmee Grass Points. After the morning bite is over, Flip the Pencil Grass and or Hydrilla with a ( 1 oz. ) Gambler Jigzilla in Black/Blue or Green pumpkin with a Gambler Mega Daddy in the same colors. Good areas to fish are J&S, Kings Bar, Tin House and Harney Pond.
