This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been from the S to SW at 5-10mph in the morning but dies down around 08:00. The water temp was in the high 80’s to low 90’s throughout the day. The water clarity on the East side of the lake is OK and the West end and the North end is good. The Harney Pond area has a lot of Red water now.
The Best Bait this week in the morning is still the Strike King Swim Jig (1/2 oz.) Black/Blue or White with a Reaction Innovation Skinny Dipper in the same colors. Fish them on the outside of the Kissimmee Grass points. After the morning bite is over, flip the Pencil Grass with a Gambler (1 oz.) Jigzilla in Black/Blue with a Gambler Mega Daddy Trailer in Shadow Blue. Good Areas are Kings Bar, Little Grassy, Tin House, J&S.
