Independently Owned & Operated, Lake Okeechobee Professional Bass Guide Service

This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been from the North/ North west from 5- 10 mph and early this week we had a front which dropped the water temperature quite a bit. As of now the water temp in the afternoon is 68 degrees. The water clarity on the East side of the lake is good as long as you go into the ponds behind the hard line. The North end of the lake looks good and so does the West end of the lake.
The best bite is with Wild Shiners and on every trip my clients are catching over 30 fish in a 4 hour charter. On the artificial side, Senkos and Flukes have been doing well on the flats. Good colors for the Senko is Black/Blue and for the Flukes is Watermelon/Red. There is a Flipping Bite using a Gambler BB Cricket in the Penny Wart and Water Hyacinth. Good Areas to fish are Taylor Creek, Little Grassy, The Pass, and the Lake Port area.
Here is a picture of my buddy Brock with a 6 lbs Sunshine Bass. You can check out the water level of Lake Okeechobee at www.okeechobeejust4bass.com
