Independently Owned & Operated, Lake Okeechobee Professional Bass Guide Service

This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been from the North, North/West  from 5 to 10 mph. The water temp has dropped some more from the front we had last Wednesday. The water temp high this week was 64 degrees. The water clarity on the East end of the lake is not great but it looks better if you go way back into the ponds. The water clarity on the North end of the lake and the west end is good.
The Shiner fishing is still the best way to catch them. I am catching 20 – 30 fish on a 4 hour Charter. On the artificial side, Senkos and Flukes have been working on the flats. Good colors for the Senko is Black/Blue Flake and for the Fluke I have been using Watermelon Red. There also has been a flipping bite. I am using a Gambler BB Cricket in Black/Blue in the Penny Wart and Water Hyacinth. Good areas to fish are Taylor Creek, Little Grassy, The Pass and the Lake port area of the lake.
Here is a picture of a couple fish caught this week. You can check the water level of Lake Okeechobee at www.okeechobeejust4bass.com
