This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been mostly from the North/Northeast 5-10 mph and on Friday we have had a front that dropped the water temp by 7 -10 degrees. The water temp high by the end of the week was 65 degrees. The water clarity on the East side of the lake is still muddy unless you go into the ponds, then it cleans up a lot. The North end is good and the West end of the lake is good too.
The best bite is still with wild shiners which is producing both good numbers and size. On the artificial side Spinnerbaits, Swimbaits, Swim jigs, Senko and Flukes have been doing well. You just need to move around until you find some fish. They will let you know pretty fast. Good areas to fish are Little Grassy, the Pass and the Lakeport Area of the lake.
