The last couple of weeks on Lake Okeechobee we have been dealing with cold fronts and water clarity on the west end of the lake where I have been fishing, but they have been biting. Winds have been from the North/North East anywhere from 10-20 mph and the water temps are 61-68. The water level is 14.19 as of March 23, 2018.
The best bait right now are wild Shiners. On the artificial there is a good Senko bite and in the afternoon when the water warms up there is a topwater bite too. I have been fishing the Senko weight less and fishing it slow. The Topwater has been a Spook. Good area to fish are Grassy Island ,Tin House area and the Lakeport area of the lake. Here is a picture of one of the fish I caught this week.
