This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds were from all direction. Wednesday we had a small front come through as well on Saturday. The water has dropped 7-10 degrees and the water temp high by the end of the week was 65. The water clarity on the East side of the lake is still muddy unless you go into the ponds in which case it cleans up a lot. The North end is good and the West end of the lake is good as well.
The best bite is still with shiners producing both numbers and size. On the artificial side flipping a crawfish type bait in the cattails has been good. Also Senko’s and Flukes on the flats have been working really well. Good areas to fish are Little Grassy, The Pass and the Lakeport area of the lake.
