The last couple of weeks the winds have been from all directions and we have had a couple of fronts that has dropped the water temp as low as 7 degrees; the water temp high in the afternoons has been 67 degrees. The water clarity on the East side of the lake is still muddy but you can find some cleaner water back behind the Cattails. The water clarity on the North end and West end of the lake is good.
The best bite is still with wild shiners. On the artificial side, flipping a Gambler BB Cricket in Black/Blue has been very effective. Also Senko and Flukes on the flats have been doing well too. Good areas to fish are Kings Bar, the Pass and the Lakeport area of the lake. Here is a picture of some fish that I have caught the last couple of weeks.
