This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been mostly from the North – North/East 5-10mph. On Wednesday we had a front that dropped the water temp 10 degrees, the water temp high by the end of the week was 64 degrees. The water clarity on the East end of the lake is still muddy unless you go into the ponds and then it cleans up some. The North end is good and the West end of the lake is fair.
The best bite is still with Wild Shiners with both good numbers and size. On the artificial side Spinnerbaits, Swim Jigs, Senko’s and Flukes have been doing well. With artificials you have to keep moving around because the fish are still very much spread. Good areas to fish are Little Grassy, the Pass, and the Lake Port area of the lake.
