This week on Lake Okeechobee we are still dodging the thunderstorms and the water temp is in the high 80’s now.
The water clarity on the west end of the lake looks the best I have ever seen it, but that can change pretty fast with the wrong wind. The BEST BAIT this week in the morning was the Strike King Swim Jig in White and or Black/Blue. Other good baits this week were the War Eagle Spinnerbait, in a white pattern and after the morning bite is over flipping a 1 oz. Gambler Jigzilla in Black/blue in the Pencil Grass/ Kissimmee Grass. The bite has been pretty light. Good areas to fish are Kings Bar, Tin House and the Shoal. Here is a picture of a couple of fish that I caught this week, flipping.
