This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been pretty light and you’ve been able to fish all over the lake. The water temp has been in the high 80’s and the water clarity has been good.
The fish are on the outside of the Kissimmee grass in the morning. The best bait this week has been the Strike King Swim Jig in White and Black/Blue. You need to move pretty fast until you get on the fish. Then around mid-morning I’ve been flipping a 1oz Gambler Jigzilla Jig in Black/Blue in the pencil grass for the bigger fish. Good areas this week are Kings Bar, J &S, and the Shoal. This week I have been fishing down at the south end of the lake. Here is a picture of Mike Finn from West Palm Beach with his two biggest fish. He won the club tournament ( Bass Rattlers) with 28 lbs.
