This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been light and the water temp is in the high 80’s . The water clarity on the East side and the North side of the lake is OK. The West end is still a little muddy. This week I have been fishing the south end of the lake.
The morning bite has been out on the reef in the middle of the lake. I have been fishing Spinnerbaits and Swimjigs in the Kissimmee grass. This bite only lasts till about 07:30 then you go Flipping/Pitching the rest of the day. These fish right now are spread out. Good areas to fish are The Cross, Uncle Joe’s and the Shoal. Here is a picture of some of the fish I caught this week.
