Mar 2- Mar 12, 2015 Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Report

The last couple of weeks we have had some very stable weather and the winds have not been too bad. Water temp is in the 70’s and we have had a week of the full moon so the fish are biting pretty good. The water clarity on the East side of the lake has cleaned up a lot and if you go into the back water it is a lot cleaner. The North end of the lake is good and the West end of the lake has cleared up a lot too.

The best bite is still with wild shiners. On the artificial side this week a 6 inch Black/Blue Senko and Watermelon Flukes on the flats have been very good. Also Speed worms and topwaters have caught some nice fish the last couple of weeks. Good areas to fish are J&S, Grassy Island, and the Pass. Here is a picture of my buddy Brock with a couple of fish we caught this week.
