This week on Lake Okeechobee the weather has been stable and the winds have come from all directions. The water temp is in the low 80’s. The water clarity on the East side of the lake is still muddy and on the North end is good and the West end of the lake is fair.
The best bait in the morning is still a White Spinnerbait in the Kissimmee grass and a White Swim Jig in the same area that the shad spawn is still going on in the Kissimmee grass. When the morning bite is over you need to move inside the grass line and flip the Pencil Reeds with a Jig or a Senko. Good areas are Kings Bar, 3rd point, J&S and the Lakeport area of the lake.
