This week on Lake Okeechobee the fishing has been fantastic. The rain and wind has been from the East and it has backed off some. The water temp has been in the low 80’s and the water clarity is good all over the lake.
The best bait is still in the morning with a Strike King swim jig in all white and Black/ blue has been working too. A Spinnerbait is a good choice too in white. After the morning bite is over move inside the grass line and flip a Gambler Jigzilla in Black/Blue to the Pencil Reeds. Good areas to fish are Kings Bar, 3rd point, J&S and the Lakeport area of the lake. Here is a picture of me and Brock with a 33.36 stringer at the BASS qualifier.
