This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been from the South East 5-10 most of the week and the water temp is still in the low 80’s. The water clarity on the East side of the lake is good. The North end is OK and the West end of the lake is a little muddy with all the South east wind. The North end of the Shoal has good water clarity.
The week the best bait was a Spinnerbait and a white Swim jig. After the morning bite is over, flip or pitch the outside Kissimmee grass. With the water lower the fish are on the outside edges for the most part. Good baits for this is a Black/Blue jig and a Senko. Good areas to fish are J&S, Kings Bar, 3rd Point and the Lakeport area of the Lake.
