This week on Lake Okeechobee the wind has been from the South from 5- 20 mph and the water temp is in the mid 80’s. The water clarity is still pretty messed up on the north end. But you would be amazed how many fish you can catch in it, so don’t over look it.
Right now there is still a good morning bite. The best baits are the Strike King swim jig, a small 1/4oz spinner bait, a Gambler Burner worm. Then after the morning bite is over, try a frog in the pads. Look for the pads that are not so thick and have a hard bottom where the bream can make beds.
