This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been 5-10 mph from the North/Northeast. The water temp high is in the 70’s. The water clarity on the east side of the lake is still not great. The water clarity on the north end and the west side of the lake is good.
The Shiner fishing this week on the lake is very good. I have been catching 40 fish in a 4 hour charter with some big fish mixed in the catch. On the artificial side, the top water has been pretty good this week in the morning. Spinnerbaits and Swim Jigs have been good too. In the afternoon I have been flipping a Gambler craw worm on a 3/4 oz. weight back in the middle ground area and on the hard line itself with some very good success. Good areas to fish are Grassy island, The Pass, Kings Bar and the Monkey Box.
