Nov 17 – Nov 23, 2014 Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Report

This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds started out form the Northeast at 15-20 mph with the cold front we had. By the end of the week the winds were from the South at 5-10 mph. The water temp has dropped some with the high this week being 64 degrees. The water clarity is a little messed up on the north end with the south winds we had this week. The water clarity on the West end is good.
The Shiner fishing is the best thing going on the Lake right now. I have been catching over 40 fish in a 4 hour charter.  On the artificial side Top water and Buzz frogs have been pretty good in the morning, but flipping a Gambler Craw Daddy in Black/Blue when the sun is up has been your best bet. Look for Water Hyacinth and Penny Wart around the Cattails. Good areas to fish are Little Grassy, Kings Bar, Tin House and the Lakeport area of the lake.
Here is a picture of my buddy Joe with a couple of fish we caught this week. You can check the water levels of Lake Okeechobee at
