Independently Owned & Operated, Lake Okeechobee Professional Bass Guide Service

This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds started out from the Northeast at 15-20 mph with the front we had this week. By the end of the week it was coming out of the south at 5-10 mph. The water temp dropped some more but by the end of the week the high was 68 degrees. The water clarity on the East end of the lake is Fair if you go back into the ponds, the North end the water clarity is fair and on the West end of the lake it is good.
The Shiner fishing is still the best way to catch them. I am still catching over 30 fish on each charter this week. On the artificial side there has been some topwater action later on this week, but fishing a Senko and a Fluke in the back water has been the best. Flipping a Gambler BB Cricket in Black/Blue in the Penny Warts and Water Hyacinth has been good too. Good areas to fish are J&S, Little Grassy, the Pass, Tin House and the Lakeport area.
Here is a picture of my buddy Rob with one of the fish he caught this week. You can check the water level of Lake Okeechobee at www.okeechobeejust4bass.com
