This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been 5-10mph from the East/North East and in the afternoon we have had some pretty bad thunderstorms. The water temp has dropped some, it’s about 81 degrees in the morning and 88 degrees in the afternoon. The water clarity on the east side of the lake is still very good and the North side of the Lake is good. The water on the shoal has cleaned up some as well.
The Best Bait in the morning is still the Swim Jig in White or Black/Blue with the same color trailer. Fish them in the Kissimmee Grass Points. There is also a Top water bite showing up too. The bite can last all day, just keep moving around. The Flipping Bite is in the Pencil Grass and Kissimmee Grass with a (1oz.) Gambler Jigzilla in Black/Blue or Green Pumpkin with a Gambler Mega Daddy in the same color. Good Areas to fish are J&S, Tin House and the Shoal.
