This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been 5-10mph from the South East and in the afternoons we’ve been having thunderstorms. The water temp is still dropping with the high being 86 degrees in the afternoons. The water clarity is good all over the lake.
This week having mostly cloudy skies and the winds, the best bait was a 1/2 oz. Spinnerbait with gold blades (willow leaf), Swim Baits and Swim Jigs in Black/blue. The fish are moving in and out from the outside grass line to the middle grounds. Just keep moving around to find them. The Flipping Bite is in the Pencil Grass and Kissimmee Grass with a (1oz.) Gambler Jigzilla in Black/Blue with a Gambler Mega Daddy in the same color. Good Areas to fish are J&S, Kings Bar and the Shoal.
