Sept 9 – Sept 15, 2014 Lake Okeechobee Bass Fishing Report

This week on Lake Okeechobee the winds have been 5-10mph from the East/South East and in the afternoon we’ve been having thunderstorms. The water temp is dropping with the high being 87 degrees in the afternoons. The water clarity on the East side of the lake is still very good, the North side of the lake is good and the West side of the lake is OK.
The Best Bait in the morning has been Swim Baits. There is also a Frog Bite in the Lilly Pads. The Flipping Bite is in the Pencil Grass and Kissimmee Grass with a ( 1oz.) Gambler Jigzilla in Black/Blue or Green Pumpkin with a Gambler Mega Daddy in the same color. Good Areas to fish are J&S, Tin House, Kings Bar and the Shoal.
Here is a picture of a couple of fish that I caught this week. You can check the water level of Lake Okeechobee at www.okeechobeejust4bass.com.
